After he comes back with no joy from PayPal. Apologise and tell him you just realised you had a digit/letter wrong on the PayPal payment and that it will take some time to request a refund from paypal and the person it mistakenly went to. Inform him that you are extremely serious buyer and have spent upwards of £50k this year alone. Ask him while your getting this resolved to get some more pics of anything else he's wiling to let go of and tell him you are prepared to pay top dollar as you have just made a large sale yourself.

Send him on a fruitless mission to rob the internet of any high end SW items and hopefully expend a few more hours out of this waste of space life while you sit back and wait to see the 'gems' he's prepared to offer!

Okay, so I have told him that I need some time to cancel the payment... I will ask him for some pics of his collection in the mean time... Even if I cannot buy them, lets see what he does?!

Gotta be honest. I'm done. Its quite hard work and although I wound like to tell him what's going on and really **** him off I think the best idea is to just let it go so he thinks its just not worth his time and effort anymore.

I agree with you sadly, he probably has 10 other scams on the go. These people don't have any morals or lose any sleep over it so calling them names achieves nothing. Wasting their time is the only positive thing to do as it means less time to scam other people!

Okay, guys.

I just want to warn you that this may be an epidemic of this scam!

I have just been offered the same play set as last week by a guy called Tommy which actually belongs to the new member baggy_g.

I have sent him a message saying to "go away" in no uncertain terms and I may have to go to the authorities as it may be bigger than I thought.

Be careful if you have an advert in gumtree or similar as they may just be targeting these adverts. Although they are asking for you to pay through PayPal so you can cover yourself it may be an idea to calm down on the buying from outside the forum and eBay for a bit!
