I'm a terrible driver who always gets lost even in his home town  so I am thinking about getting a Sat Nav!!

I'm probably going to get a Tomtom but I was wondering if anyone else uses one and have they had any problems with them?!!

I use a TOmTom one XL. The only issue i have with it is sometimes it crashes and needs to reset. I believe there is a free download that cures this but i have not got round to doing it yet. They are great and i would certainly recommend a TomTom.

I wouldn't touch one myself but I've got a fair sense of direction.

We've had loads of trouble locally with the things sending delivery trucks over steep hill passes, down lanes so tight they get stuck and even through deep river fords

You might be ok with one in town though  Everyone I know has the Tom Tom's or Road Angels.

My cousin got a Sat Nav and when he came down from Yorkshire to visit. His sat nav sent him off the motorway into a industrial estate. It kept saying you are going the wrong way.
I just use the missus, she's a fantastic navigator, better than any sat nav. She even got us to Busch Gardens in Tampa Florida from Orlando with no problems. Great sense of direction.

ive been using a tomtom XL for the last few weeks (not ONE XL) different model

i have had to find alot of unamed roads with it like MOD bases and power stations etc

gets me there now worries :_)

if you use some common sense aswell as your satnav you cant go wrong!

Common sense and lack of direction are my biggest flaws!!

Until they invent cars that drive themselves I think a Sat Nav is my only option!!

I'm probably going for the Tomtom Go 530 model as it has more features!!
