I've just noticed that the last Palitoy ROTJ MOC I picked up had the waffle pattern on the bubble seal. None of the others i own have this. All the bubbles on my other MOCs without the waffle pattern are Palitoy bubbles. This looks similar but perhaps a little smaller.

Any reason why this MOC has the waffle pattern but the others don't? Is it a Kenner bubble??

Have a Chirpa 65 Nien Numb offer with the waffle and a Vader 65 Bandolier without. Not sure about the bubble type.

Hope this helps :p

Ok thanks for letting me know.

So would I be correct to say the waffle pattern is not common but can be found on some Palitoy ROTJ MOCs. Most likely those with a Kenner style bubble (guessing the last bit here).

If you point me in the direction of how I can check the bubble type then I can look at the ewok for you.

I'm still learning about bubble types myself so I hope I'm not misguiding. The Palitoy bubbles have more squared corners but the edge of the bubble where it attaches to the card is rounded. Tri Logo bubbles are larger and more rounded but the edge of bubble where it meets the card is squared.

I believe the Kenner style bubble (I don't know if that's the correct term for it) is similar to the Palitoy bubble with the bubble edges being rounded where they meet the card however the bubble appears to be smaller and a bit more of a snug fit.

Great thanks for posting the pictures. That does look like a Kenner style bubble. It is smaller and tighter fitting also the actual bubble corners are more rounded but the edges where the bubble attaches to the card are still rounded.

So it does look like the waffle pattern appears to be found more on the Kenner style bubble (if thats the correct term for it). It would be interesting to see if the waffle pattern is found on any other bubble styles like the ones with stems. I have a double stem I can check when i get home but otherwise all my bubbles are standard Palitoy bubbles.

Thanks again for the help.
