what do the numbers in the top left hand corner of carded figs represent? ...batch numbers? figure release? just wondered

I think its for internal catalogs and for shop orders. A kind of reference number, but this is all a guess.

Kind of like the numbers you get on Lego sets?

They are product numbers specific to each figure. Every figure has only one product number apart from R2 Sensorscope and C3PO removable limbs that have 2 product numbers for some reason.

Maybe because there was a C-3PO and R2-D2 already in the line up?

Probably something to do with it although R2D2 Solid Dome and C3PO fixed limbs also have their own unique product numbers too - so I'm even more confused :)

R2D2 = 38200
C3PO = 38220
R2D2 Sensorscope = 69420 & 69590
C3PO Removable limbs = 69430 & 69600

Some ROTJ moc's that has the Anakin offer sticker on front of the card . Has a black sticker with a new batch number over the old number . So Kenner changed batch number on all the figueres with that "sticker " offer .

cheers fellas always wanted to know what they were and cheers for the useful list it will come handy when i label and display my loose figures in acrylic boxes!
