The fact he studied words & their delivery while himself suffering from a stammer, makes for both a tale of personal struggle & perseverance, and, likely the gift of his ambitions to overcome. His finally emerged as of the most powerful voices ever heard, what an amazing & positive legacy. RIP James Earl Jones

Came as a real shock despite knowing he'd been ill for years. Shed a few tears at this one !
So glad I have his autograph several times. Guessing it's coming around to that time when the few remaining main cast members won't have too long left with us either :-(

Actually saw this post on Monday evening after I'd been to see Star Wars 'A New Hope' at the cinema, which was abit surreal as I haven't been to the pictures for over 10 years.
Ironically I was going to wear my Star Wars badge but the pin was pushed in too far to open and I didn't have time (luckily) to put on the other one I've got. If I had done, I would have convinced myself that I'd jinxed the great man.
