Chas Hodges from cockney musical duo Chas and Dave, has died aged 74.
The very first proper single I ever bought as a child was 'Rabbit' by Chas and Dave, and I loved it! A super catchy, funny song that was right up my street, and still is! They probably surprised a few people with just how musically talented and hard working they were, and although they may not have had a string of number one hits, they still produced an extensive and entertaining number of songs. I still enjoy listening to their music and am saddened to think there won't be any more.
My condolences to his friends and family, and especially of course to his musical partner, Dave Peacock.
