Totally shocked. The guy wrote some of the best, and certainly the funniest, SW novels. The X-Wing series is top class.

That's really sad news, very sad loss, XWing series was awesome, great writing, and the couple of new JO he did were cracking too, one of the few writers of SW that kept your attention from the first page to the last, fluid and enthralling writing

Was really sad to learn this, great writer, don't think he ever did a bad sw book!
