As you can see by my posts over there I too was appalled really, the mark up on the item he "created" was out of this world and he even had an offer...

I think the lack of response and the change of wording in the listings speak volumes.

Its a total scam by todd plain and simple but as usual his mates and the wanabies rally round on RS to protect him. Pathetic! and shame on the wanabies where is there integrity? Todd wouldnt give them the time of day thats for sure!

He's saying it was a stunt to promote his book and he wasn't selling them anyway. Hmmm..... At best I think it sets a very bad example which other 'less reputable' ebayers might follow. His response on RS was pretty arrogant and aggressive. Whilst I was interested for a bit of Christmas reading its a case of sod him and sod his book now.

Yeah I thought the same thing DW!His excuse was pretty lame as I am sure if someone hit BUY iT NOW he would of happily taken their money instead of telling them its all a marketing ploy etc!
The fact he did not come on and explain himself instead someone else had to do it for him is weak as piss IMO,the fact that he doesnt go on there daily is crap as he would have had plenty of emails about it as soon as that thread got started!
If I didnt want that book so bad for the info on the two packs etc I would probably cancel my order but I am not going too as I have been waiting months for that thing now!
He was meant to be a well respected member of the community and he has basically shot himself in the foot IMO in a lot of different circles trying to be clever about it!
He should of ended those auctions if he doesnt want to sell them, the fact they are still going is questionable!

Funnily enough whilst visiting the Revenge X Wing auction "I must buy his book" wasn't the uppermost thought in my mind so as a marketing ploy I'd say it was lame.

I would regard Revenge collectables as a bit of niche so not sure how much traffic that would have really generated - there are far more things he could have highlighted to pick up on keyword searches. If indeed this was a marketing ploy after all :roll:

His attack on Tom is a cheap trick - very easy to start slagging people off when you've bought all you want knowing that he has not much else to sell.

Well we're still looking at a $500 box flat and a $150 X wing being flogged for stupid money.
Plus im 99.9% sure there are more than "2 - 3" Revenge box flats out there.
Did you notice that Todd doesnt accept returns either, hmmmm i wonder why.

I have lost whats going on over on RS now , you get lot's of posts that seem to be against Todd then those same people drop their arguments and suddenly support the "Mighty" (What a term!)

Sometimes the harsh and easy to read truthful posts on this board are such a refreshment from RS!

I agree 100% with you on this. Here is an ex-Kenner source which Todd is also mentioning in his auction to prove authenticity of the piece and he goes and slams him on RS. All Tom did was ask if boxing up a box flat with a toy was acceptable and Todd bashes him saying he doesn't like it when people flip his items for a higher cost. That isn't even part of the original topic at hand and it seems like he was trying to turn the attention over to Tom. At least so far it isn't working.

I myself have bought several POTF coins from Tom and know he is a great guy. I also have loved reading some of the stories he shared from working at Kenner. I hate to see him get bashed by Todd like that.
