I did wonder.....

i think its a very friendly site , as long as we dont mention footy

and isn't it our duty to warn fellow buyers of potential slip ups in the buying market. i have bought from sarah with no probs before but if you have had a problem then its your right to say.
after all if one of us , say twofoot, had got ripped off by someone on ebay and a member on here had had trouble with the seller before and not said anything, he would be rightly pissed. :wink:

I think we just went off on one a bit - she refunded me so I didn't really have any problems, no apology though.

My main problem with her is that she has a statement on her auctions saying she never deals with repros, which is wrong - but I've said too much already twofoot will be on the warpath :twisted:

The only repros that sink are the ones in my 57 pack. The others that people have come up with must have air bubbles in them. I apologize for being a repro guy!

No problems with repros Todd (in fact I'll be buying some of your repro 12" figure weapons next week) - just with people that sell repros as genuine weapons

well... the seller on ebay who sold me these 2 repros wont even give me a partial refund for £2 as i suggested lol

i paid about £10 for a few figures and the 2 repro's

also the seller "was sold them as vintage" (easy to mistake if your not a collector), but he said not being a professional or AFA its an honest mistake

i told him i want to keep the figures but dont want the repros

will only do a full refund due to some bollocks about "direct selling regulations" - but this is only in place from BUSINESS accounts anyways isnt it?


all this over 2 quid lol

i cant be assed to send them back anyways, not worth the bother!

top 4 are defo real.... but what about the bottom one??

seems there are 4 slightly different scuplts - thick. medium and the thin one at the bottom...

all have ejector pin marks except the bottom one. if it is repro its not made of the usual brittle repro plastic, it isnt painted and bends just like the others....


what do you guys think?

ive had a repro one before - it was cast in grey and sprayed black

i guess these common weapons were repro'd before we all used to get stuff off the net.

i have a ledy ackbar so need to find out which one to match up

thinner staff = hong kong

thinking about it... i just bought one off jabba and he removed it from a card... it was thick and COO was taiwan

I have one which looks like the last one in your pic. Fairly sure it's made from brittle plastic, rather than being flexible. Also looks way too "shiny" to me. Just assumed it was a repro.

ive seen those ones alex, if u rub a knife on it the black paint will rub off showing dark grey plastic underneath


this one i have is flexible like an original.

What do you guys think of this blaster that turned up last week?

It is a flourescent like blue(more so than the picture suggests) I have pictured it with a genuine blaster underneath for comparison.

My immediate thoughts were repro all the way and i still feel that but...

It feels the same as a genuine one,
Makes a similar sound on the drop test,
Floats (i know some repros do)
Has the cut out grooves (again, i know some repros now have those as well)
No white stress marks when i bend it

No, sorry mate i shouldn't have said translucent. You cannot see through it when you hold it up to the light but it is 'more' flourescent shiny blue unlike any bespin blaster i have seen before :? Here's another pic...
