Beware that Darren Orme is making repro boxes with all the repro contents...marked...but just FYI.

I really don't like all this crap - he seems to have been embraced by those on Facebook and I can't be arsed to get into an argument on there. This is the same way that Poon started and although this guy claims that they are marked, it is pretty clear that further down the line these are going to be passed off as the real deal

I tried to argue the case on FB that he needs to mark these on the outside instead of just the inside, or it's going to descend into a **** storm after these have been around for a while!

Hmm, I am not a fan of these. Considering a policy change on my vintage star wars action figures group.

Definitely agree Iain. I also don't like how his repro mark is the same as the registered trademark symbol. I can see in a few years people trying to say that means they are real in some way. I also think it should be on all the flaps. It'd be easy for a seller to just tear off the flap and then the mark is gone. I'd still like to think it'd be obvious once in hand, but by then the damage could be done and the seller off with your money.

Good call Jason - hopefully the other groups will follow suite

Presume he isn't in Todds group though

I'm fed up with people not only tolerating stuff like this but openly justifying it.
How about I make some custom Vlixes but put a repro mark in the inside of the ear hole. that'll be fine as I'd expect to photograph that on the buyers request? The buyer is always to blame in these scenarios. If they didn't exist ..... simple.

Unbelievable.

The collectors on facebook are a different breed and many of them are the ones invading RS. These are marked, but I could see someone easily tearing off the "R" and passing them as real.

Good call in banning the sale on FB, marking them on the inside flap is a cop out, and will only encourage scammers.

That's it. I'm leaving all fb groups where this stuff is praised. Especially ones where the admins and mods are openly lauding them. Sick of the mentality of some ****heads.

No offence to Jason, but the average member of most of those groups is not worth worrying about. The love of opening MOCs and ignorance is amazing.

Lost count of the amount of genuine items folk are convinced are fake, and fakes they are convinced are real

Also got to remember Darren made a ton of unmarked inserts and only added the 'R' after a lot of bad press. I just don't see the point of repro boxes - genuine ones are plentiful and aren't expensive with a bit of shelf ware.
