Today I had the opportunity to visit the offices of Lucasfilm down in San Fransisco. Although due to flight and shuttle bus delays I only got to spend 1 1/2 hours there but it was worth it. A couple of things I got to see were:
Optical Printer used in making Jedi.
The filming model of The Protector from Galaxy Quest.
Large scale Maquettes from Jurassic Park
Original Matte Painting from Star Trek Iv
Also picked up a t-shirt from the gift store and saw/discussed things that I can't discus anywhere else. It was a short time but a good one and if anyone else ever gets the opportunity to go they should. Photos popping up when I get home in 8 days time.
