Repacking/Storing Toys

I have a huge Star Wars toy collection! Most have been purchased over the last ten years, although some are vintage, and I have most of the toys' original boxes. Is it possible to disassemble my toys in order to repack them? I have moved to a much smaller home and need to rotate my displays. I would like to repack the toys that are not on display in order to protect them, but because many (the larger ones) had to be assembled I am afraid that disassembling them will permanently damage them. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

I don't really see the problem with putting the toys back in their boxes to be able to store them Liam?

Oh Yeh my mistake I miss read the post Emiel!

I throught he wanted to recard/ rebox to help with storage but putting them back n their original boxes of course there is nothing wrong with that

My apologyies to the OP.

delta38ion do you have any pictures of the toys you're talking about? We mainly know about vintage SW here and the only vintage SW toy I know about that's hard to put back in is the Imperial Shuttle (because of the top wing).

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I will make some pictures this week and maybe you will have some advice. We have the huge Millennium Falcon that came out a couple of years ago and then a lot of the SW Clone Wars toys. Our vintage SW stuff came to us minus boxes so I just wrap those very carefully before storing. Many of the items had to be assembled and have those funny pop sockets - my concern is that I will break them completely if I try to take them apart to repack. But yeah, I have the original boxes for them to go back into. No worries and I understand the concerns - i would never recard or rebox anything that wasn't original - that's kind of like plagiarizing - so wrong. I'll get photos on within the week. Thanks again!
