I have heard about bad packaging before and have experienced it only once myself with a boxed y wing sent in parcel paper with no packaging at all
I got this of ebay for a cheap price of £150 posted. I knew I was taking a gamble as there was only one pic of the box, which didnt show up any damage. Anyway I unwrapped it today and it was basically the shuttle in the box with just a bin liner over the box, with my address on
I got the bin liner off no problem, but then found that the box was sealed at one end and the other tapped up with parcel tape :(
Fortunate for me that I had heard of getting off the tape with a hairdryer on a medium setting, so thought I would give it a go :)
This is the before:

So I got out the hairdryer, set it to medium and just wafted it about pointing at the end of the tape. I didnt have to wait long before I was able to lift it slowly and just peel it off keeping the hair dryer on the tape :)

Box was a bit battered, but at least its been opened from the bottom, so once its on display, it wont matter too much :)

Not too bad and at least the shuttle is complete and pretty decent without much yellowing:)
I dont know if this would work on stickers, but it worked fine here and this is boxed shuttle number two, so I was ok taking the risk. I have a loose shuttle number three, which I am thinking of trying the hydrogen peroxide method to get rid of the yellowing on it as its pretty bad. So look out for that resto thread.
Thanks for looking and all the very best for christmas and the new year :D
