Remote Control for modern (2008) R2-D2

Not my normal bag, but I bought this guy from a car boot years back. It came with the remote control but it never worked (I ******* hate people that sell broken **** and claim it works. ******s). The R2 unit works fine, but it would be nice to get him working with the remote. The picture below is for illustration purposes and isn't mine.

So, if anyone has the remote (looks like a commlink) going spare for a fair price then please let me know.
