Does anyone have any tips on how to reduce curving on a MOC ?
Is considering using heavy books on one, or is it better to just leave it in a Star Case and just let it be curved ?

Be careful mate. I'm sure there's a good way to do it but I tried a while ago by putting books on both sides then watched in horror as the corner of the bubble started to come away :(

Oh! Dont want that to happen, it displays well in a Star Case and the bubble is very firmly attached.. Gentle pressure with my finger also straightens the card out

Do you mean "reduce"[the chance] or "undo"?

Reduce would be a card currently straight and to stop it curving you should store it somewhere dry with an even/consistent temperature. Rooms warming up and cooling down (specifically getting too warm) can cause cards to warp.

To undo/flatten a warped card is not easy. The book method can be dangerous in that bubbles have been known to lift while attempting this. IF you want to risk it then i'd suggest putting weight on the card and bubble lip simultaneously.

I guess undo is the most fitting word, my theory was just that its impossible to undo them all therefore hoped to maybe reduce the curves already there.

But from what I now read Ill probably just leave it in a Star Case as I dont want to risk any bubble lifting

some star cases actually leave slight indents all around the card if pressure is applied.

So everything is risky business :p
Id rather have slight indents than a loose bubble, thats for sure. Its only until I get around to order those acrylic cases.

Thanks for all the info!

Acrylic cases look smart, just ashame they are not cheaper, its ok for 1 or 2 but when you need dozens it adds up, I have had a few from toygrader, the design of the UKG cases are just as nice though.
