Hi Guys,

First time on here and looking for some expert opinions.

I've bought an entire set of loose 12 backs in mint condition as part of a vinyl Jawa deal.

If you were me would you have them all graded? £20 each or re-card them all £4-6 each.

I'm likely to sell the Jawa so I assume grating would be the best option here but I'm in two minds to keep the 12 or sell them? Might make a nice display. Would it be worth grading them?

Options welcome.

:)

Grade the jawa. Leave the rest loose.

Recarding is frowned upon because people try to pass recards off as real on ebay etc. No vintage collector will want recards so it adds zero to the value.
As for grading there's no point unless its something rare, or something that's worth a lot of money and/or is often faked like a Vinyl Cape Jawa.

That'll be the general advice on here, but as everyone else will point out, they're your toys so do what makes you happy. :)

Hope that helps.

Forget grading, but a first 12 display stand and a nice acrylic case and have one hell of a display. Its your collection but for the love of whatever you believe in don't get sucked in by shitty repro cards and bubbles.

Welcome by the way.

Welcome Stuart 'BJ'.

I would re-card them and then send them to AFA. Then sell them on here for triple the price you paid for them.

January is probably the most boring month of the year for me as well.

Thanks guys most appreciated...... In the time since I posted the questions I've also bought a small head Han 80 and a 85 boba (ESB). I predict one very angry wife!
