Can anyone explain what's up with the " private listing - bidders' identities protected "

It also stops other users seeing who's bidding and offering them the same items in "out of ebay deal".

And yes I know ebay hide the bidders names with ***'s, but sometimes the bidders feedback ratings are easy to figure out who the users are.

I refuse to bid on private listings find them extremely off putting.

Such and amazing piece but due to the equally amazing price not one I'll be adding to my focus anytime soon.
