For Hammerhead and CCP then the Hybrid ones are pretty hard to find

For Nikto, Anakin, Yak Face, Gammy Guard and AT-AT Driver then the POTF would be the rarest

Good idea for a thread Ryan, I think as the old list I compiled shows there are some really obscure variants out there that are so rare it makes some "rare" figures look like Emperor baggies in comparison.

The rarest 8D8 for your list is this bugger:

It's the GMJ Trilogo 8D8 (Spanish release), sadly not even the one in the picture exists any more as it exploded in transit a year or so ago

Thanks Joe and to everyone who's contributed, I've updated the list somewhat but I'll add a few more soon. TBH I'd actually forgotten I'd even started this one

Hate hearing about MOC's getting damaged in transit especially the rare ones. I guess that's one of the biggest downsides to our hobby, especially since the majority of collecting is now so international these poor old toys get to see more of the world than you or I ever will and along with that comes the risk of damage.

Yep, that and U grading. In fact in the last year or so TWO previously unconfirmed 79A figures were discovered, so when I see uninformed twats sending in beaters to AFA for U grades I can't help but wonder if they are wiping out a little bit of history that was just waiting to be found by the right person

Rarest Yoda MOC

Is not Harbert, Meccano or PBP/Poch it is this Yoda MOC - the only known example in the world - start watching at 7 minutes (two Yoda MOC's but one is different to the other and makes it the rarest in the world)

From the Palitoy side of things I would not have though the 12 back Chewie is really classed as rare. The 30 back however is!!


I guess it really does depend on how we are defining 'rare'

But still. Definitely an interesting list to discuss 8)

I didn't know this existed till a few days ago.

No carded examples are known- only this cardback. That's how rare it is- one cardback that's ripped to shreds.
