rare palitoy/kenner proof sticker?

There was a thread on rebelscum a while back about these stickers and the suggestion was that retial shops applied them to damaged cards to cover up tears etc where price stickers had previously been.

Opinions anyone?

Thats what I thought, either sticker damage or perhaps these were overstock items shipped out of the UK for sale (maybe from department stores such as Debenhams) and the UK price stickers were covered. It seems that quite a few of these are showing up in Europe.
 
They are nice, but really don't see these as anything more than the stickers you find on Ewok Combat Gliders etc.

Then again, it could be a hoax to cover up damage deliberatly. The other thread mentioned they were all coming from the same source and this was done a few years back with price stickers over 3 packs to cover tears.

That would be Shaun Neinast and his dodgy tear covering ways :evil:

These could easily be reproduced and printed off. Shaun does have a flare for creative use of price stickers. :mrgreen:
