Evening guys. this may be the stupidest question ever asked on here, but what is meant when a figure is advertised as 'raised bar'?

ha ha - I've seen a lot stupider !

Raised bar is normally used to describe China COO figures as the China is stamped onto a 'raised bar'

It is nothing special but some sellers use it (me included) probably to sound as though they know what they are talking about

Stay on this site long enough and you'll soon get to know all these terms figure variation collectors use to describe figures.

Even if you don't want to know them!! :?

:D

You truely know your stuff Iain, as do you all.

Unless I get booted off for poor humour, or being thick, I aint going knowhere Gary. :D

Was it only the chinese who printed on a 'raised bar'?

Not sure but you do get raised bar figurs with nothing stamped on the as well, so not just the china coo, but I presume they are still China figures, sure someone else who knows more will chime in.

& Just out of interest I collect the raised bar figures as I find them a little bit of an oddity, though I have no frecking idea why :?

Ps I ended up with one of the smaller display cases & my store ended up having to send 4 of the larger ones back that they could not sell, told you I was in the ass end of nowhere

cheers, now i know what i'm looking for, i'll look through my loose collection and see if i have any.

I should not be amazed anymore, but the knowledge of and commitment to this hobby that is displayed by the members of this forum is awesome. James, you always go above and beyond. I usually just look, read and dont comment much, but just wanted to say you guys are great.

Ehh those are pretty much the prerequisites for being allowed on here, along with swearing a lot! An interest in Star Wars is optional.
