Hi all,

Finally I placed the Last of my Last 17 (thanks Jezza) and in essence completed my vintage loose collection. I know there is no Blue Snag, and some variants to get, but all in all it's there. Took the best part of 6-7 months, some sweat (those detolf cabs aint light!) and tears, of joy!

The plan is to get another 2 cabinets either side of the ones shown to give room and allow some ships to be displayed.

I'll post detailed shots and some of my other collection in the coming days.

Thanks to all who I've bought from, and to all those who inspired me to get this thing going.

Rahskil - Thats a great display mate. The AtAt at the top looks great there.

thanks for the comments, will post up detailed shots later as I say...

The Bottom right are some designer vinyl stuff - Teddy Troops at the back, Munny's in the middle and a variety at the front....

Fantastic display, really looks good.

Congrats on completing your loose run. Are you going to start getting the variants now?

Where did you get your risers from?

Thanks Burnsy...got the risers from a company in the UK that were mentioned on this forum:

http://www.3ddisplays.co.uk/displays/lifts-steps.htm

Got a few of the variants and will go for the most notable ones - different hair coloured farmboy lukes etc...Not convinced the shitty coloured limb Chewie is a variant.

Remind me of the REAL variants?

I got:

Both Landos
2 x Lograys
2 x Leia's bespin - turtle and painted
light and dark coloured hair Luke bespins
2 x Gen Madines
fake vinyl jawa (i know i know!!) real cloth cape
light dark haired Bens
2 x klaatus different style skirts
2 x teebos differing colours..

cheers

Nice display, i've just completed my standard vintage run, so far have the original 96 also with the following variants

Blue Snaggletooth
Han Solo (small head)
Repro Vinyl Cape Jawa
Lighter colour Tri-Logo Boba Fett (unpainted knee, unpainted dart)
Ugnaught (Blue & Purple smocks)
Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight (Lighter Hair with blue saber, darker hair with better head mould with green saber & snap cape)
Lando Calraissian with painted eyes and teeth
Yoda (Light green with orange snake & dark green with brown snake)
Han Solo (Trench Coat, printed lapels, different head mould)

Still need the following to be happy with my collection, ready for display :D

Luke Skywalker Brown Hair
Luke Bespin Brown Hair (preferably with attached holster)
Leia Bespin Turtle Neck
Obi Wan Kenobi Grey Hair

Also if i had the money would eventually like to get

Luke Skywalker Orange Hair
Squid Head (Lily Ledy Red Cape)
Biker Scout (Lily Ledy Mexican short mouth version) (edit: Just got one for a good price :D :D :D )
C-3PO (Takara)
R2-D2 (Early Bird with dark blue paint on dome)

I have a couple of figures that i'm not 100% happy with that i will replace eventually, also a couple of my figures have repro weapons that i will replace in time as well

I'm currently building a giant cardback display for my figures, here's a rough mock-up of what it's going to look like

I'm going to cut out some holes in the bottom and have offers or ad's for other figures there, i have 2 replica rocket firing Boba Fett's (L-slot & J-slot) that may look nice there with the original advert, or maybe the Max Rebo Band or stuff like that

Shawn - Same range but I used the circular lights. Wasnt so sure about the strips as you are VERY aware of them from the side. The circular ones have a little baffle and if you consider the combined light spill when using one or more cabinets there are very few dark spots.

Lesson learnt though - Place the light nearer the front. I originally had them in the centre and this left the front in shadow....

Lovely collecton well displayed. The lighting does work well. Can be tricky to get the lighting right in glass displays. Youve done a good job mate. God luck with the variants! :D

Some good variations there. I couldnt help noticing that your Luke Jedi's look rathr chilly! I have a spare cape for a Luke jedi here if you want it?

£4 including postage
