I saw Gregory Fisher on some program last night and it reminded me of Rab C Nesbitt. So I was looking at a few clips on Youtube.

Kind of Like Scottie from star trek on crack

My Dad's Scottish but he has lived in England for nearly 40 years so his accent has just about gone but understanding my relatives in Scotland can be difficult to understand when they come here on holiday !!

I get it now. I am just facinated with the fact that there are soo many takes on the english langauge. Kind of similar to the hillbillies and rednecks we have here in the states.

Has no-one seen the Wicker Man - its full of them

It's just someone who doesn't follow the main religions, they could follow another gods/religion instead

Has someone called you a pagan Jabba?

Hundreds of regional accents over here. For god sake, people from the town 30 miles up the road speak differently to people down here.
Then you got farmers, they have their own language, consisting mainly of grunts, (think Rowley Birkin QC from the fast show) and the finest 'spides' (Chav's for you main-landers) and their inbred slang.

I was just back in the Black Country for a beer drinking weekend, it was great to hear the accents again after being up north. Most of where I live is broad Yorkshire but if you go very slightly further north and cross the A66 you start getting into Geordie accents. It changes quite quickly.
