Hi,

I recently nearly entered negotiations to buy an R5 D4 20 back with the Boba Fett advert from the states. It had a damaged bubble and was graded afa 60 with 80 each for the figure and card and looked really good apart from the bubble damage. Staple hole and sticker residue otherwise v nice. Anyone an idea what would have been a fair price to pay?

Also I have 3 C8 loose R2 silod domes in my collection are the gold tinted and the dark blue paneled variations any rarer than the standard and anyone know their history? Would be interesting to know

Cheers :)

I would think your R5, with that sort of damage should be worth around the 100GBP mark - the grade probably counts against it in this case

Little bit of info on the 'gold dome' - http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1030150-2/

Cheers for that. The gold one I have is a definite gold color almost like a C3PO when compared to others. The blue paneled is definitely a variant - I saw it on a 12 bk SKU on facebook but I'm not sure what cards it may have been unique to.

Ye he was asking a little more glad I thought better of it but not that far off shipping from us was included- would be nice to own one in a way without spending too much.

Cheers for your input :D

Stuck in an AFA case with no support, a damaged bubble might not even get here in one piece from the States.

Right. Would you say damage in afa cases is a common issue when long distance mail is involved? edit - obviously i understand it will be worse if already damaged -edit

Once sealed into an AFA case then the bubble received no support (unless it was paid for) therefore I think there is much more chance of the bubble being damaged (or in this case the damage getting worse) with the figure rattling about - especially over long distances

Good point should have thought of that- not a great afa fan anyway other than for a certain guarantee of condition and genuinity when buying. I freed my Greedo from his UKG case the other day and he looks better and tells me he is much happier now

Ye was looking on that 12/20/21 back fbook group there's a fair few nice cards that come up on there but 95% from the States unfortunately. Some non graded but most of the v good condition ones seem to be afa.
