Is what I initially thought when I saw this lot, until I read the description and read this "most of the figures i've removed from destroyed cards myself" It is a damn impressive collection just a huge pity if that many beater moc where destroyed in the process.

He also states no repro yet claims a rocket firing fett is included :?:

Oh well at least the names of some of the figures was good for a laugh.

blue snuggles
vinyl cape yawa
max repo and band complete

Genuine question, i'm not a loose collector so I don't know, surely it is (or at least was pre U grades) easier to find a loose figure in what you condider C8/9/10 condition than it is to track down a beater card with a pristine figure in it?

Been a long time since I searched Ebay for carded stuff but I remeber there being a lot less carded listings than there were for loose figures. Ok a lot of the loose may be beaters, but surely there are still more good condition and reasonably priced loose figures than reasonably priced beaters?

I just dnt get why ppl buy beaters to rip the figures off. Ok, if the card is literally half missing, then I get it, but otherwise, why nt just buy a loose figure from a decent seller?

Maybe it is genuine, and it certainly looks impressive but there are a few things that bug me about the listing. It sounds like he doesn't want to sell.

As someone who's got back into loose collecting in the past 18 months but was collecting loose 15 years ago, it seems to me there are more quality loose figures on the market now than there were then. Either that or I'm just looking in the right places these days :D

In my earlier days, I did it on occasion. At the time, it got me figures I was having a brutal time finding loose, such as a A-Wing Pilot, and then the cartoon Wicket and Logray. Yes, I regret it now, and will happily condemn anyone who does it in this day and age, whether that makes me a hypocrite or not. I feel it is our duty to try and convince openers that it is destructive and unnecessary.

Some people though just have it in their heads that a loose figure, no matter how mint, has been in the hands of "grubby child fingers", not comprehending that if they were played with, they would not be 'mint' any more....
