Question re. ESB 48 back-B MOCs

Does anyone know if any ESB 48 back-B MOCs were "accidently" released with the round Revenge offer sticker missing on the front of the card?

I have seen a 48-B Luke Hoth for sale with the sticker on the back but no sticker on the front, and the seller claims that he has been the original owner of that MOC for 32 years, that he doesn't remember pulling off a sticker and that there is absolutely no sticker residue or trace on the card...

I don't know for certain but I would suggest this could happen, look at all the misprints/miscarded figures out there

Its certainly possible/plausible. I've seen an ROTJ Anakin Offer card without the sticker on the front, so anything is possible. I wouldn't treat this as a 'mis-card' though. Its more an oddity.

Their are some of these examples known, I've seen one for sale on here I think about a year ago. Have you got a link?

It could just be a 48 C? I know these have the offers on the front as well, but not all.

It could have been removed, I once had a Bespin Luke with sticker to the back and you could only tell upon close inspection where the revenge sticker had been on the front of the card.....just a thought

Entirely possible, but as it "should" have the sticker, you'd have to approach it as either a true factory error or someone has carefully removed it. Definitely no added value without it, despite it making it an "offerless" card, as you can't prove it wasn't tampered with.

Exactly my approach Ian. Just trying to figure out if that could be a factory error - in which case I might be interested in buying it but with no premium to a regular example - or just an item which was tampered with - in which case I would not be interested unless the seller applies a material discount!
