Hi,

I'm rather new to collecting Star Wars. I've seen an offer for a Bespin Cloud Car and the seller says:

"Cockpit holds most
Landing struts move"

Can anybody tell me what he's trying to say? I haven't had this in my childhood, maybe if I had an idea ...

Thanx in advance. :)

no idea about the cockpit, but there are two brown landing feet that move up and down - they do become loose and won't stay down over time. I guess these ones are fine (or maybe not :?: )

Yes ... this offer can mean everything I guess ... asked the seller what it means, let's see what he'll tell me.

Landing struts issue is a known flaw then. Thought that maybe the "cockpit holds most" is in some way another known flaw ...

Thanx! :)

Well, you click the cockpits in place using two 'holders'. They break easily. I guess this means that one of the holders is broken? Or not?

I would say the seller is deliberately vague. This is usually a red flag.

Think it's a language issue. Still it remains a mystery to me why a German seller advertises this only in English on a German platform.

Still no feedback from him, but having read both your comments I would now assume:

The struts are loose.
The holders are not completely broken maybe, but don't "work" correctly. Or worst case: They are broken.

Still it comes with a box which looks nice (at least on the picture). Do you think that it is still worth 50 pounds (incl. shipping) with loose struts and broken holders?

As a child I always wanted to have the Cloud Car and I don't know how rare it is. But I haven't found anyone here having it on sale right now.

PM received. ;)

Long story: The seller (it was an item on EvilBay) replied in German and here is what he had to say about it (I'll translate back):

"Cockpit is closeable.
The struts are moveable."

But since there was very little detail on the quality I am now happy to be in contact with DarthStanley. :) Incl. signed for shipping it will cost a little more, but I have a MUCH better feeling about this. :)

Thanks all,
Dennis

No mate you misunderstood. My remark (and Spoons' 'seconded' as well I think) was regarding Mark (DarthStanley). You won't be disappointed dealing with him. :)

Didn't misunderstood. :) Maybe what I was saying was not clear!
"Suspicious" was that 'eBay-guy' and NOT DarthStanley and what I wanted to say is that I'm glad that I initiated the deal with him. :)

I'm really impressed, because I received his stuff today!!! That was real quick delivery!!! :)

Packaging: Superb!!!

And I really feel like a kid, as I told before, I always wanted to have a cloud car as a kid and now I have it ... :)

Quality of the goods is also great!!!

Thanks, DarthStanley and everybody else involved. :)
