Problems with no longer get emails about replies or PMs

I haven't posted a technophobic message for a month or so.
It appears that i no longer get emails sent to me about thread replies i've subscribed to, or even PMs.
Before my phone would receive emails, but no longer.

Has something changed? I can't figure out what to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't get notifications either anymore.
Noticed last night or the night before, when trying to access the board, I got a message that it was updating something and couldn't get in for a little while,
maybe that has something to do with it?

Same here Jez, had some notifications over the weekend but none yesterday or today. Something must have changed on the forum as I haven't changed any settings my end.

Edd is aware of this, unfortunately it might be my fault because I told him to fix something else that wasn't really that important and now it's buggered the notifications lol

Yes last night I did an update of the template software and also fixed something, but it appears to have broken email notifications

Sorted, my phone just received an email informing me of an addition to this thread!

The hosting company informed me that it may happen again if excessive emails are being sent from this domain (they suspend emails altogether when it hits over 200 per hour) so please be a bit sparing with your subscriptions, PMs etc.

I've just stripped out my subscriptions and i think i'll be less inclined to use PM as a chat/IM facility.

May be this 200 per hour limit should be highlighted to all Ed, as the problem will only come up again as the Forum gets more poplular, or someone posts pictures of 96 MOCs which they've just been given and asks for some advice/values.

200 per hour is actually quite a lot, nearly 5000 per day, so I'd be amazed if we're anywhere near that with 100 or so active members. I just thought I'd mention it in case lots of people were subscribed to every single topic :lol:

I just got about 15 PM notifications through - but have no PMs - I presume these are a few days worth ?

It's been a bit hit and miss for me too. Started getting notifications by email, now they've all stopped.

Maybe over 200 had built up in the system and all came out at once. Crash again!!
I wouldn't know as i deleted all of my subscriptions.
