Price Check / Looking to sell....

I have two loose Top Toys Luke Jedi Knights (neither complete sorry), both have the typical nose rub and one comes with genuine TT cape.

Any idea what they're worth?...thank you in advance

Well, back when you first offered the loose one minus all accessories for $100 to me, I had two independent valuations from some well known variant collectors. Both came to the same conclusion of roughly $100 without me mentioning your asking price. Then you backed out and a little while later offered it to me again at $150. You seem to be pretty stuck on that price and that's what you're claiming over here, so you already have prices in mind, I don't get the point of the multiple valuation threads across the 3 boards, where you already have in mind what you're asking. I can let the two people that gave me valuations know and see if they'd want to post there assessments here for you if you'd like.

Correct I did originally offer you the loose Jedi, and your evaluations came back at $100.

Correct I did pull out of the deal because the deal I had my end to acquire a complete one bummed out, so I decided to keep mine a while longer.

However I have now acquired a complete Loose TT Luke Jedi 30/05 as part of a mini TT haul some of which is surplus to requirements.

Speaking with a couple of collectors myself, I was told they exchanged hands at CV for $200 each (loose/no accessories) and another collector with a shop asks $200 for them. Personally I think that is too much!

Yes I have asked the question across multiply forums, why not? this way I hit a larger target audience and get more opinions on price, no harm in that :)

Really, I just don't get why you even need a valuation thread. Based on my info and yours now, we know that anywhere between $100-$200 should be right for one. You already, in PM and on TIG, said $150 is what you want to ask, so why not just put it in the classifieds and go for it. If you're trying to maximize profits, then offer it for $200 and entertain offers. To me, having a valuation thread usually means you have no idea what the value is on a piece, but you obviously know the Top Toys market better than probably most around here and have at least offered it at two different prices to me. It just didn't make sense is all.

Personally when I see multiple valuation threads across forums coming from "educated" collectors I put it down to someone fishing for a buyer for the right price not an actual valuation thread.

It does seem like you have a pretty good grasp of the loose Top Toys market Walkie so if you did actually want to sell one then perhaps as Shawn suggested just put it up for what you think it's worth (or have been told it could sell for) which is what $200? Then if it doesn't sell you just lower the price till you sell it.

Simplez :)

I btw...was one of the guys asked by Shawn. :D

And I still think 100 is fair for a loose figure without any accessories. The figure itself isnt that rare...its the accessories that make them special.

I dont wanna take sides here, but I am a bit surprised the deal didnt happen, because Shawn asked me ages ago (I have the feeling...LOL). I can also see that Stefan maybe lost the overview bnecause he is buying stuff like a mad man ;) (I still can believe he found 4 TT Luke and a few Yodas within two month)

....anyway...:

- Luke: 100 USD
- Luke with cape (difficult to say...): 200-250 USD?
- Luke with cape and gun: 500 USD
- Luke with cape and gun and saber: 800-1000 USD

It depends.....there was a time the gun and the saber were estimated 400 USD each....but I think this was and is crazy! On the otherhand I was offered 450-500 for my saber once from someone who was only missing the saber! So you see....the saber and the gun make the value...mainly!

I'm certainly no seasoned pro when it comes to Top Toys figures having only purchased my first one back in December last year.

As with the forums I'm still pretty new to all this so I'll take all your comments on board, thanks guys.

Please lock the thread.

Just wanted to post an FYI, that Stefan had just offered this to me back at our original agreed upon price. That was not my intent with this, but it was certainly nice of him to do. I'm passing on it though because of purchases that came up in the meantime that I'm paying off.

Good luck with your sale Stefan. Hopefully you can get what you want out of these.

Both items sold within hours of listing them.

- Luke: 100 USD
- Luke with cape 250 USD

:)
