Takes a while to download but have a look at this:

http://linktracker.brianstoys.com/click.pl?jump=156

Very little foreign (non-kenner) stuff but a good catalogue to keep. Some of the artwork, proofs and store displays are the best things in it 8)

High starting bids though with 15% buyers premium on top plus customs charges and shipping.

JESUS, you weren't wrong there!

A lot of very cool stuff there, although some of it has clearly been priced by Brian Semling. :(
The starting prices on some items (not just the rare/unusual ones) are higher than I would even consider offering if I was drunk.

What's this "buyers premium" rubish? Just another way of bleeding more money out of people?
As you say Simon, with postage and packaging and then the ****ing customs charges, even without "buyers premium" it's not going to be cheap.

The He-man figures did bring back memories though, I haven't seen most of them for years and years 8) :D

I had a good look at the He-man stuff too. My younger brother had some of the figs and a Castle Greyskull and its been years since I've seen it all in original packaging 8)

I can see some of the rarer stuff selling but a lot of the more common figs and vehicles are just BT's and Final Frontiers stuff with an extra 15% on top

I always thought Finalfrontier were pretty reasonable on price, but BT's pricing has always been high. Adding on 15% is pure genius............it's bound to sell now!

You think all that stuff will sell, is the auctioneer going to lower the starting price if no one bids?

Actually, if you bid via ebay theres an extra 5% charge on top, so 20% + Shipping + VAT + Customs Duty + Parcelfarce Charge.

Some of it will sell, theres collectors with a lot of dosh out there (eg. that Japanese fashion designer bloke) but theres no way they will lower the prices from the starting bid. It will just go unsold.

Surely if they had started with more reasonable initial bids then they would have made more money overall.
Ok a few items may go cheap, but it will only take a few colectors to be going head to head on an item to bump the price up. Plus surely the more people bidding, the more chance there is of people feeling they "have" to win something........... The "I missed out on X, I'm definately gonna win Y" mentallity, if you like.

I totally agree, but I think Brian is afraid of not making a good markup on items just like his ebay fixed-price auctions. I think it would be great if the starting bids were low as there would be massive interest and I am sure a lot of the estimates would be reached. As it stands there is a risk of the whole thing falling on its arse :?

I think there is more than just "a risk". :?
Such a shame as it could have been great.

That lot would make one hell of a display. Whats that Imperial Sniper vechical? Cant really make out what it is?

I think Han had one he won during the summer. Ron might have one, or have had one.
It's one of the vehicles from the POTF line.

I got the security scout. I noticed there is a member from the forum bought all 3 potf mini-rigs off ebay last week

looking at that makes me want to be 10 again ..............so many memories
i found the castle grayskull behind parents cupoard just before a christmas and i wasnt strong enough to get it ot just open the lid and look at a bit of plastic running up to christmas

Great catalogue, I never remember having/playing with GI Joe when I was little (there is tonnes in that catalogue!), was it avaliable over here or was I just too wrapped up in Star Wars to notice it or was GI Joe a U.S.A thing?

It was a US thing but we had Action Force which was the equivalent. It was a year or two later than Jedi I think but I can remember Cobra being the enemy.

just checked it out, some great gi joe items that if they were on ebay today i would have brought right away, there is defo a couple of things i will bid on if the equilavent dont turn up on ebay but its still a long way to wait
