Hi all
Thought I'd share this with you...
I work as an Illustrator/painter and I have an exhibition in London this November.
I'll be exhibiting some vintage starwars related artwork in the show. Here is an original painting of one of my favourite figures, Powerdroid.
The dimmensions are 29cm x 42cm, paint pen and spraypaint on wooden block.
I'll be adding more to this thread as I go.
Cheers

Awesome work mate, love the vivid colours and the fact you went with the PD's card colour really works nicely.

Frank's gonna have conniptions when he see this!

Great job look forward to seeing more.

Edit: he's seen it already!

That's really cool, I love art based on Vintage figures! Nice colours chosen for the background too, it actually reminds me of the purple/pink haze on the cardback :)

That is quality - I bet there are a few people on here that would be interested in these for the right price

Cheers Frank, it is indeed. 'DoodlePlanet' is my Illustration name, I also run a live drawing event under that name.

Hi Joe
That was the intention to always have the vivid cardback colour as the background.
My next attempt will be Greedo on, you've guessed it, an orange background.

In my opinion, the vintage card/figure colour selection is art to me. I always find miscards facinating because it throws you seeing the figure against a different colour!

I painted 'Groovy Wenlock' for the Olympic Games, hence me now having an exhibition there. It's all off the back of that commission :D

That's my studio shed in my back yard. I spend a fair amount of time in there I can tell you!
But it's a good living, peaks and troughs, but I would'nt change it for the world.
I worked on Gas mains pipelines for over ten years, so I've seen the other side :?
