Anyone into posters?

Hoping to find out what kind of prices the UK Triple bill and the UK ROTJ one sell for, I have never really been into posters but a friend wants some help pricing his so thought I would ask on here, many thanks!

Condition is absolutely key on these, mint/folded, Triple bill would be around £120-ish, Jedi quad, depends which image, all posters are going up rapidly at the moment.

Bang on. I got a really nice double bill poster a few months back. The seller had up for £120 with a best offer. Offered him £80 and he took. He also had a triple bill up for the same price, can only assume he of taken the same for it.

Just did a quick search on eBay completed items and found these:

So you can see price really to vary.

The Jedi one will depend on the image. In good condition £100 to £250 for the main quads , and a lot more for the red advanced quad. One just went for £400.

Joe, I collect posters and there are some variables you would need to know before valuing. There are 3 versions of ROTJ UK quad so would need to know which one he has, and also condition (folded, pin holes, creases, tears, etc). For the Triple Bill, which I think is one of the coolest posters there is an important variable. Most of these are trimmed and worth rather less - the place to look at is the dome of Vader's helmet (ooh er missus). The entire dome should be visible otherwise it is a cropped poster (I think the belief is that the crop posters were displayed on the Tube rather than cinemas, so are not true theatrical posters).

Here's mine below, and then a cropped one underneath. Look at the top of each poster to spot the difference. Hope this helps!

Star Wars UK quad poster collecting is actually fortunately pretty fake free. The Triple Bill one has been reproduced and I believe it has a modern copyright date, so it's a reproduction rather than a forgery and you can buy one for under a fiver. I've not had the repro version in hand but it is also cropped I believe.
