Postage from Canada

Slightly off topic I know but, I'm expecting some stuff from Canada and it seems to be taking an age. The tracking number only shows that its entered the Canada post system but nothing else. Does anyone know how long it takes for stuff to turn up?

not 100% sure on this but I swear I read somewhere on RS that a guy selling some stuff from Canada said he was going to wait a bit as there have been a few postage strikes there

Canada Post is notoriously slow.

How is 8 weeks then? The expected delivery time is 4-6 weeks and the tracking number only tells me that the package has been collected from the seller by Canada Post.

No sooner have I moaned about it than the package turned up today. Maybe I should try that more often, I've never won the lottery...........

The box was battered to **** though, fortunately the contents were well protected.
