postage fees

If he has ripped you off three times the actual postage cost when it arrives claim it through paypal Grant you should be able to!Send them an email plus the quote from there website etc and they oughta get you some cash back!In wont matter about the weight etc if it is in a large box that is what it will be IMO as they go on size as well as weight!!The postage system are the scammers from hell!!!

i recently bought some mountain bike parts off papbay...
paid £6.50 postage as i didnt know how much the stuff weighed

arrived with £3.00 of stamps on in a jiffy bag...

i questioned the prick seller and he said "oh well im disenclined do do anything as when i buy on ebay i know how much postage is before i bid"

to top it off after that the stuff he sent was supposed to be new, altho some of it had clearly been used... and one item was rebagged but the stupid arse put instructions for some other crap in the bag by accident

i told him i wanted a refund and refused as he thought i was doing it out of annoyance rather than the products... he even had a 14day policy but flat refused to refund me

PP disputed the idiot and now i have a PP claim ready to pay me back with his shite sat in his local post office (with tracking) - but i guess this wont happen until the muppet has gone and collected the parcel? im wondering if he convienently doesnt even bother getting it and its returned to me... will PP still refund me or what?!

as long as you can prove you posted it, they'll refund you

I've had to scan the recorded delivery slip before

i guess i could to a macro pic if really needed

i have the feeling now he ait gunna go get the parcel hoping it will **** the claim up maybe

EVERY aspect of this transaction was **** lol so you aint wrong

Why do so many people complain about postage fees after they have bid / paid for an item?

I never bid on anything without knowing the costs beforehand and if the p&p is "high" I lower my bid accordingly.

If I sell an item I don't have any scales to weigh it so I have to estimate the cost. If I underestimate it I lose money but if I'm over I make a little bit of profit which helps cover ebay fees etc, surely that is the same with everyone? On ebay most people seem to charge £1.50 for a single figure when the actual postage costs are more like 65p and 20p for the jiffy bag so that's a 65p profit and if you sell 10 figures £6.50!!! 8)

If you don't like the postage fee don't bid !!!

lol

i didnt know how much the **** was that i won.... so i presumed £6.50 was a fair assumption

i was overcharged £3 so just queried this with the seller.....

what is wrong with that?

me too but that was overboard even tho really its only 3quid....

yes u do feel stung sometimes and that kan take the appeal away from items sometimes i think

i got over charged by about £13 ,took it up with seller and he said he takes his petrol in to consideration as he drives to post office  ,still he gave me £6 back .

**** him! If you contact PP with proof of the actual cost of shipping will they not refund you all of the difference?

I couldnt' agree more!

I sell graded moc's on flebay and i only offer special delivery that way i am covered for up to £500 per item and totally protected from the scammers.

Remember guys insurance is for the sellers benefit not they buyers as paypal will refund them regardless!

Now i charge £7.95 postage to send a graded moc

If possible i use recycled boxes but sometimes i need to buy the box and i also buy bubble wrap and foam fillers to ensure maximum protection.

The box size and more importantly the density of the materials it is made of plus the internal packing will dictate the actual weight at the PO.

I have recently posted out a few graded moc's with a stamp price of £5.74 ranging to £8.94.

I never make any money on postage because even at lowest stamp price of £5.74 that leaves £2.69 to cover the bubble wrap the foam fillers, the box and an hour of my time to go to the post office.

Most times i am making a loss on postage and thats the truth.

Yet many buyers see the £7.95 postage to send a graded moc through the post and whinge instantly i find this incredible!!

I then say to them i can send the item in a Jiffy bag for £3.50 but only if they are prepare to pay via cheque and take reponsibility if the item is lost in the post or damaged.

Thats soon shuts them up!

If people are paying for your time then you should be a business seller and pay tax on your earnings/profit.

i like to complain

especially when the item looks like it will be quite heavy and you think via the auction that its a fair price only to recieve it and find its loads lighter and you have been WAAAAAY overcharged

i think that is a reason to moan!

I sell about 10 - 20 moc's in year and pump the funds from the liquidation back into other pieces for my collection i'd hardly call that a buisness :?

I didn't mind paying your postage rates Jay, they are a little higher than others but the card was very well packed and I've no problem with special delivery

my only problem is with how long it takes you to leave feedback
