postage fees

Apparently Jabbawokkie they are not meant to make a profit on postage sure a small amount for handling fees they seem to allow as long as its not called a handling fees(go figure) but if they have made money on it ie cost $5 and they have charged $10-$15 you should be able to get some back! But we all know how screwed ebay is so you just never know with them if they will actually do something or not!
I would try if it is way over cost though for sure!!

if someone ripps you off by alot with postage can you claim it back through pay pal

Hello.

I just bought a modern Starwars toyy. Its the Jedi spirit set of characters. It was $10 then the guy sent me an invoice for $33 for postage so all in he wants $43.
Does this sound correct.I feel ripped off by the postage costs.
Also this is suppossed to be standard flat rate with out tracking faciltiys. :(

Cheers,

Grant. :D

I take it it is from the states Grant? If so it sounds about right to the u.k where you are !But insurance etc should only be a couple of $ more!

It does sound a bit high - it should probably be nearer $15-$20 for standard flat rate airmail from the US. Maybe the seller is using a massive box pushing it into a higher price level?

Either way at $10 for the item and a minimum for $15 postage I'm sure you could have got cheaper or as cheap in the UK?

As the item is under £18 in value there is no danger of getting stung by any import duty, fees and VAT.

Sweet !

Isnt the box quite big that they come in? Or am I thinking of something else?
What I am saying is it bigger than a normal MOC item!
I wouldnt know what your rates are to UK but to OZ it sounds about right going on what I pay to get stuff from the states and sent to me also from the UK!

That is waaaaaayyy over priced!!!

$33 these days is £21 and if it is the Power of the Force set they are really light and if it arrives costing him more than $10 I will be amazed.

If it's the figures I'm thinking of I had a complete set of all the different scenes ages ago and unless prices have gone up you could get them for around £10 each including p&p from UK sellers.

I bought it from the US. i paid the the guy, It was a shock tho with the postage being 3X the amount of the price of the purchase itself.

Cheers mate,

Grant. :D
