hi i have just won some items on evil bay but this guy wants to charge me $100 to send from sweden to the uk weight is 4kg he says value is $550 is this right

Being a Scandinavian I can confirm that shipping from any Scandinavian country to the US is gonna be expensive.

I put 30x30x30cm and 4 kgs into Swedish Mails webpage, from Sweden -> USA and the result was 873 Swedish Crowns, equal to 138 US Dollars... Now it also said something about sending it as "ombud" for 559 Swedish Crowns, which is about 90 USD.

Checked the price from my native Norway just to be sure about the prices as Id imagine they wouldn differ to much Sweden/Norway and its 80 USD Nor->US for 4 kgs..

So yeah, 100 US Dollars for 4 kgs tracked and insured from Sweden to USA does sound plausible

Sorry, my bad, just saw Dollars and thought the US....

But, not much difference to the UK tbh.. 35x35x35 cm 4kgs are 119 USD shipping..

No probs, would still check that that is the actual postage when it arrives.. My info is just based on what I could source from Swedish Mails webpage.

There is no tax from within the EU.

Dunno. Sounds possible. I bought an ERG recently from Canada and tracked post was around $70 I have taken the risk with airmail ...hopefully it will arrive soon :?
