Hi Guys, hopefully you can share your thoughts and let me know what you would do if you were in my position.
I recently bought an AFA carded Vader on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=290227117671&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=019
The picture, although clear isn't very close up, and although I didn't ask, I presumed there weren't any problems or things to mention aside from the grades etc. Received it today. The card/figure itself is what I expected, but there is a damned hair inside the case. Its about two inches long - at a guess I would say its a cat hair. Such a silly thing, but its quite noticeable and rather annoying. Without wanting to dislodge the card from its position - or worse, damage the bubble due to the figure knocking against it, I tried shaking the case a bit. The hair slid down the card to the bottom. I hope that I might, with a good deal of fiddling, get the hair out by sliding a bit of paper through the bottom crack or something - but after half an hour of trying I've not had any joy yet. See pictures below:
What do you reckon? Do you think its worth complaining and maybe aim for a partial, albeit small refund? I'm a reasonable guy and don't look for arguments in my ebay dealings. I know its just a hair - but obviously small flaws on a card affect the value a lot, and for a display piece a bloody big hair in the case is not what I ordered! On one hand I might be able to work the hair out if I'm lucky - do you think a refund request of say 10% or more is unreasonable? On the other hand, he seems quite a well known seller and I'd rather not ruffle his feathers too much in the event I might want to buy from him again!
Cheers guys!
