So who else got banned from RS? There are three of us apparently. This is what Mike sent me :roll:

Unreal, I could go through a list of about 5 peeps just off the top of my head who totally troll certain threads and generally cause trouble, yet they are welcome on RS.

Weird innit? We weren't even that offensive, just voicing opinions that were perfectly reasonable and not even disagreeing with everyone :? I think some of them got it.

What's the point in having a debate where everyone agrees? I guess that just shows how mind-numbingly boring RS is. Having read through some of the threads there wasn't much entertainment. Even as a resource it wasn't that good because of the cluttered layout. Not impressed by RS.

Just sent Mike a PM asking for clarification basically their rules on advertising illegal star wars items, which the thread quickly became. If you go and count how many RS members started to ask where they could buy these figures, and if that wasnt an advert for the seller then I dont know what is!!

It's weird isn't it. One reason I avoid the vintage section of RS... too serious and you'd need to be way too cautious if you disagree....

The Modern section and the Uk findings thread is great though. can we just expand our sections please or at least find some more people to join us that collect modern!!

It is strange it appears they want the opinions candy coated......or beating around the bush as they have fragile feelings. I just wish they would have left my buddies out of it. I know they do not care for me over there and the feeling is mutual....I just could not keep myself away from pointing out the fact they are hypocrites....and chase after some repros like wolves on a blood trail, but with others they fully embrace them......I think this is the "Negative" statement that they speak of.....and I would never take that back...because it is the truth and It hurts.

All I can say is it's over. I have realized there are huge pack of assholes in the collecting community with absolutley no sense of humor. Button up serious people that are regimented and are used to the norm set out by the public and media. This observation has nothing to do with repros or this forum. Like JoeY stated in the now locked thread.....this is what sucks the fun out of the hobby. Lets drop it now.

Yeah...I think if someone is allowed to buy those it would be me....but no thank you...I will fill them up with yellowed but original junk!

The thing is you can buy 100s of original Stormtroopers. These repros aren't particularly cheap anyway so i really don't see the value. I could understand if they were like $1-$2. I have 125 Stormtroopers. Mostly white and non badly yellowed at all. I don't think i paid over £6-£7 for any of them and many i paid WAY less.

The main problem IMO still is that these get mixed up with vintage! In Germany brilliant white Stomies still fetch 12-14€.....not a big deal...but still hate them beeing around. Just remeber you balance out from a figure lot what you need and what not....white stormies you will always need/want....but if these are crap/fakes the whole lot buy could be a disaster.....

Oh they definitely will. It would be naive to think they won't. Just the same way repro weapons are a massive problem for new and experienced buyers. These will be no different. Once sellers cotton on that you can buy 1000s of these from china and sell then as originals for £10 the floodgates will open. Then will come the repro Vader, Luke, Leia, Yak Face etc. Could be incredibly destructive to the hobby. It's a shame. If they were made by someone with a conscience they wouldn't have copied the COO marks (even put an 'r' somewhere to show they are repro) and all would be fine.
