Places in the uk that sell vintage SW?

There's a toy and record shop near Reading station in the indoor arcade. I forget the name but the guy does most of the shows too - and was on Toy Hunter :)

Mostly loose but lots of other great toy lines

RAM Collectibles in Herne Bay
Currently got a boxed AT-AT, boxed Jabba playset, boxed x-wing and boxed AT-ST plus a load of loose figures too.

Comic Shop in Canterbury but not sure of name which also stocks old Star Wars toys.

If you ever happen to be in Plymouth, I recommend Hoggies Toys, lots of loose figures, mini rigs and vehicles, plus the chap that owns and runs it is a really good chap.

Classic collectables in Leek, Staffordshire. Mostly Corgi, Hornby and toy soldiers, but has vintage Star Wars - the usual loose figures and boxed ships and mini rigs.
It's also the smallest shop in the world, 2 people in there and it's overcrowded.
And thanks Mark for the heads up on that Blackpool shop, seemed a nice place. :?

That thread on who in Blackpool is incredible. Looking through the site linked, some of the vintage Star Wars prices are pretty much works of fantasy as well.

If this thread is to become a valuable resource then worth posting addresses, websites, contacts too. The map idea is worthwhile..

Their prices are ridiculous Naughty,I was in there a couple of months ago & they had really beat up SW Droid Factory,Land of the Jawas,Turret Probot & Rebel transport for like £100 each & loose, incomplete beater figures for between £5-£15!!!

The only decent piece they had was a Palitoy Diecast boxed Y Wing which was overpriced at £350!

The map thing should be pretty straight forward with Google Maps. I did similar for my old man's community boat website, dropping markers and details on a map that he could update. It could potentially be opened up to a select few (with Google accounts) to add / update as needed. Let me look into it...

Would also be great if we could embed the map in this thread, but doubt it's possible without opening up advanced options on the board - not something you'd do lightly. Who'd be best to ask about that - edd?

Good call, a bit of leg work but a couple of users could share the load.

Edd is the man for that, you might just be able to use the 'Code' tag that is available when making a post.

Click the code button and paste in the 'embed' code that Google Maps gives you.

Unfortunately the
Code:
tag just highlights code in a particular format, it doesn't actually run it. Let me discuss with edd.

Popped into a Vintage selling shop in Chelmsford where I work just looking for some gift ideas, not really thinking about SW toys but there in a cabinet were these bad boys.

A bit off with the pricing, Klaatu £12 so somewhat overpriced but the rest were only a little over their true value. Out of shot are Imperial Commander and Nein Nunb and they are all in good condition. Think I'll keep an eye on them and make an offer if they start gathering dust.

Was just nice to finally see some SW vintage goodness in a shop, fingers crossed there'll be a dirt cheap Yak on my next visit :)

Sorry to resurrect old thread but...no longer the case, sadly. Went down today to get my young lad into the old figures and build a complete beater run... to be told abruptly he no longer sells vintage figures. Just keeps them for himself as an investment and sells modern rubbish now. Wasted long trip.

Another one bites the dust.

Ha! Someone else in Devon, will you be my friend?

No there is another, Final Frontier. Walk out of M&S food court onto the street, turn left and keep walking to nearly the bottom.
Look out for the Batman sign on the right hand side opposite Plymouth city market. Go in and everything is modern, ask if you can go out the back to look at the vintage stuff. Don't worry you don't need a password.

Otherwise just google Final Frontier Plymouth.

It's worth dropping in if your in Plymouth but don't make a special trip. :)

Dammit! Wish I'd known the other day. Many thanks for that I will check it out when next down.

I'm in Somerset nowadays but did live in Plymouth for 5 years and love the place. Bob on the barbican, purple haze, guild hall and a few other places were great before the dark times... before the emp... eBay.

Still irritated about his reaction. It was like I'd asked him to sell me his nan.
