It's going to be a really interesting final. Both Spurs and Liverpool have histories of falling at the last hurdle. Nobody cares about 2nd places or losses in cup finals, it's all about winning, something neither team has done much of in recent years. So whoever wins it, it will be well deserved and long overdue. The bookies don't seem to think there is much of a favourite, it will just come down to luck and who plays better on the day.

Not a massive fan of either team in the Europa League Final but I think Chelsea would probably be a more worthy winner considering they at least finished in the top 4 this season. But as cup finals often prove track records and form go out the window.

Be good if Arsenal win, 5 English teams in the CL next season and none of them Man Utd!

Aye, that's partly my thinking. I quite like Arsenal as a club. They play, or try to, decent footy and they aren't a rich man's play thing. Neither of which you can say about Chelsea. Plus, Arsenal don't go out of their way to employ tossers like Mourinho or John Terry. Speaking of who.......

Good that Villa are back in the Prem next season.

I was hoping Derby would come up. Partly just cos it is nice to see some different sides in PL, and Villa were very "meh" when they went down, but also cos Villa employ JT and he's a ball-bag. Leave him in the Championship were I don't have to see his face. I also struggle to like Jack Grealish and I REALLY don't see what the fuss about him is. Good Championship player but not good enough for PL and not a quarter as good as he thinks he is.

I find Lampard annoying as well, he always comes acroos as being smug. If it wasn't for him being captain ping pong as a player he wouldn't have scored half the goals he did.

Besides I like the traditionally big clubs in the Prem, Aston Villa were a huge club, a bit like Leeds and Nottingham Forest.

Also is John Terry not leaving Villa?

The stadium was horrendous, there was so much space around the pitch you could hardly ever see the fans on screen!

The wide angle camera view ruined it for me. I was saying to a mate, it was zoomed out that far I couldn't even tell the difference between the players.
As a neutral, I don't really care where it's held, though Azerbaijan does seem a strange choice, but FFS at least put the tv cameras IN THE STADIUM! They may as well have been in Armenia with Miktarian for all we could see.

This is gonna be some week for Spurs fans, watching Arsenal get humped and miss out on CL again and then they see their side win the CL a few days later!

Pass. Not sure what time sun down is in Madrid.

There are exemptions from Ramadan for soliders in wars, pregnant women, people making long journeys etc. so I'm half surprised they havent found an Immam who says they are exempt as they have a ruddy CL final. But then I guess they are both practising muslims so will be keen to show their piety.
From memory Sissoko is a muslim too.
