I think Spurs should see the season out at Wembley now personally, although it's impossible to guess whether the new stadium would give a short term boost or affect performances negatively like Wembley seemed to. Actually my preference would be that the first few games are non competitive to give the players a chance to get used to it, that seems 'fair' as otherwise the first few games might as well be extra away matches.

Thing is Daniel Levy is a tight arse and will want to move in. He probably thinks Spurs will not win the league either way but are pretty assured a top 4 finish.

Sums my thinking up perfectly.

On an unrelated note, I reinstalled Championship Manager last night. 97-98 version so fully up to date lol.
Bye bye spare time/sleep/life.

Although, my first game didn't go quite so well. 9-0 down to Southampton at half time. It's almost as if a CB pairng of Peter Schmeichel and Raymond Van Der Gouw protected by John Curtis at DCM with Gary Palister playing the role in the hole behind the dynamic CF that Dennis Irwin is.... wasn't the greatest selection!?
Nicky Butt certainly hadn't a clue what he was doing in nets either. Clearly he just needs more practice.
Maybe next time I'll field eleven players as well, that might help. Lol

Brill game, spent hours playing that. Would start playing it about 9pm thinking I'll have an hour or 2 before bed, next thing I know it's 4am and I have to be up for college in 4 hours! Have you chosen Man Utd so you can see them relegated? I remember I got to 18/19 season, I think and it wouldn't go any further and I remember thinking that it seemed ages away. Sunderland always ended up winning the league loads for some reason. Your brave playing that now you have a baby, you will be 40 next time you look at the clock.

Playing it as Utd and Pool. Utd is just so I can shaft them really. Quite funny, Old Trafford has a capacy of 5k now. I might have ****ed about with the data editor
Great fun watching Utd losing double figures every week. I suspect I'll be sacked soon enough.

Great game, I think I must have spent years playing it.

Pool win comfortably today, I wonder will we now be back to journalists writing about what a great title race it is, until pool or City draw or lose again then OBVIOUSLY one of them will be in crisis/have choked.

City were on fire today.

Very interesting now as to who holds their nerve to the end, there are a lot of games to go, but TBF whoever wins and tops the PL this season deserves it. If that's The Scousers, ahem, my apologies Liverpool, then all of the tribal crap aside, it will be deserved.
24th of this month will be an interesting day for a lot of different fans!
Great Premier league watching this season, long may it continue :D

City were unbelievable again last night, made Chelsea look like a league two side. I think Liverpool have a real challenge on their hands holding off City, I can't see them losing in this current form.

Spurs on the other hand were very lucky to win that game 3-1 yesterday. A draw would have been fair, either side could have edged it. That is why I don't consider Spurs to be title contenders, they're doing very well compared to 90% of the other teams in the league, but City and possibly Liverpool are just next level.

As I've said quite a few times, this City side are special. They are probably the best side the PL has ever seen. Any team finishing above them has done something bloody amazing.
I can see City winning all their remianing PL games. I can not see Liverpool winning all of theirs.

Chances are Pool will come second with a record high points total for the runner up. The kinda pts total that would have won them the title in 80+% of previous years. Chances are Spurs will come third with a record high points total for the third placed side. The kinda total that would have won them the title in 60+% of previous seasons.

Newcastle never make it easy for themselves do they?! Credit to Wolves, they kept going.

Can someone please explain what I'm missing that Juve clearly see in Ramsey? 400K a week!

Do you think it's some kind of tax dodge? ;-)

Do you think they have got him confused with Gordan Ramsey, his food is more worth it than Aaron Ramsey's football ability.

I saw Gabriel Marcotti tweeted something along the lines of he thought it was a mistake and the actual figure was closer to 250k which he still felt was too much but a tad more plausible.

Bit flat by Utd last night.
Yer man who got PSG's first was lucky to be on the pitch, but then Ashley Young should have been sent off for that shove as well so I guess it cancels out.
Lingard and Martial's injuries seemed to kill Utd, they never really turned up for the second half. Not that they created a lot in the first either.
Pogba's red was fair enough, he could even have had a straight red. No intent in it, but he catches your man mid thigh and in CL's that's a yellow all day, especially with the ref stood 10 feet away.

Best side won, and it was probably about a fair result. I'd say that the tie is over now, I can't see Utd winning by 2 in Paris, even with Cavani and Neymar out and rumours are at least one of them will be back for it.

Does this mean whoever loses the Chelsea Utd FAC game this weekend is now suddenly "in crisis" instead of Pool, or Spurs before them, or City before them, or Utd before them,

Yeah that shove was pretty shocking, not so much the shove itself but he must have known what the result would be. In fact that United pitch is a bloody death trap, how did that ever get passed health and safety!?

It's funny isn't it, Utd loose to a team that is better and was better on the night and all is lost! Imagine if Man Utd rurned it around in the second leg, we would be odd's on to win the thing, well I doubt it very much and I can't pretend I'm not dissapointed by the result, it's easy to get carried away when you go on a good run. BUT I still think that was the first proper test Solskjaer has had and it was pretty poor. Be all doom and gloom again for me if Chelsea knock us out. :?

Yeah, first properly decent side you have faced under Ole, and you lost. But you can't read too much into one game. It could just be unfortunate, it could be you win every game between now and the end of the season and no one will remember how flat Utd were last night. Or it could be he struggles against the real top managers. His record pre Utd wasn't that inspiring but then Pep, Zidane and Luis Enrique didn't have a record before they got their respective jobs in La Liga and they managed fine in CL.

Given Pool have Utd the day after my 40th, I'm hoping Lingard and martial are out for at least 2 weeks and that Chelsea bust a few more of Utd's better players this w/e, or manage to turn it into a beating session like that game against Spurs a few years ago. Three red cards each would be nice.

Fingers crossed for Spurs tonight. I'd like to see them do well.

I hope Spurs win as well, tuff game though, Dortmund are flying. Martial and Lingard area bi loss, hopefully they will be back soon, think Liverpool will get something at Old Trafford but we will see. I would prefer to beat Chelsea as at least we will still be on for a Cup Final.

I hate big matches around your birthday, can be on a downer. Although turning 40 should help with perspective, it is only a game after all!

What a terrific performance by Spurs tonight. A fairly even first half which Dortmund just about edged, but in the second half Tottenham dominated and got a well deserved win that puts them into a very strong position going into the second leg. Also, who knew Jan Vertonghen was better at being Danny Rose than Danny Rose? ;-)

Me! Danny Rose is ****ing useless, I say it every time he plays  Vertonghen was brilliant last night, THAT's the left winger we need - one who can cross, shoot, AND still get back when needed.
