people paying daft money on ebay

I completely agree with this thread.
Earlier this year I managed to grab a Rancor for £15 delivered and a MINT Han Carb for £23 delivered! But I agree Ebay on the whole is very expensive

I was looking at a few recent sales at a couple of Auction Houses and decided to look at their archive sales.

I found this sale on the 16th of July 2010

Just 4 years ago! Look at some of the prices!!!

The trick is to buy it from the great sellers on here (however many threads they may have)

Can you recommend any?

I can - check out the chap that keeps opening new threads - I've heard he has some nice stuff

Is that the Norwich fan

Back to topic. I think that prices will spike and then begin to tail off a little. When TPM was released prices didnt go insane, but were steadily rising. The same happened with Attack of the Clones and ROTS. Prototype material went apeshit in the mid to late decade of 2005-2010, and this is now considered a viable option if you have the dosh.

Of course, yet more new collectors will swell the ranks and i forsee an awful rise is repros and ripoffs.

That reminds me I must use my alt login to complain about all those multiple For Sale threads to stir up trouble again.

  - I knew it was you - gonna put up some more threads in the next couple of days so you had better get complaining again

Oh, and Lee - how are the might Watford getting on - they might be up with us in the Prem next season

Lol always rely on forum buys... even have my girlfriend scanning the pages!! Think those prices ever increasing especially key characters and vehicles from New and old movie...
Not saying anything but the mighty wolves may have snaffled some xmas points :))

Iain- once went to nearly every Ipswich 3pm Saturday KO in a Premiership season, and saw them get one point. Could those days return?!

Back on topic, and I had a proper trawl through Ebay last night for vintage. I had to wade through endless repro crap to find anything half decent. I would say more than every other figure was advertised with a repro accessory; but not quite every figure, if you get my meaning. Yet- these figures still had bids on them, and as Poncho says, some of this money is just plain daft!

Bemused and 3 beers down, I then for the first time tried to conclude a deal on Facebook. Chap was selling off the majority of the last 17, and despite a lack of prices or description after enquiring he agreed to sell me a Barada. However, he unsurprisingly became inundated with messages (people love an Imperial Dig) and was unable to cope with the demand. Chap is now selling them as a lot.

I think the moral of the story is....don't bother!
