a month or so back i filed a claim against someone for a dodgy item. i only got a partial refund because that's all that was in his account. so what happens to the rest of the money - do they actually make any effort to get it back? surely this constitutes theft? :?

Paypall should pay the difference and then they claim it back from tjhe seller and freeze his account untill he pays. Allways worked for me.

Sellers account is frozen until dispute is settled. I received the money from a sellers account after he failed to respond to a dispute. But you only get the amount in the sellers account! Luckily I got Ã'£47 of the Ã'£60 I paid the seller. Paypal have done nothing since this action, so in effect the seller stole Ã'£13 from me

how long after does this usually happen mate?

It can take some time. Paylpall have to close the dispute and untill you and the other partycaome to an agreement it can take a while. My advise is to keep emailing paypall and wear them down.

I am owed Ã'£20 from a dispute a while back.
It is still marked as an open dispute on my paypal account but it has been over 6 months now and in that time nothing has happened.
