Love him or hate him, I still found this very sad.

He's one of several celebrities that typified the 80's for me.

This year has not been good for celebrity losses at all

I used to work in Wigan and his son had a magic shop there in the town centre. Paul switched the Christmas lights on a few times I believe.

He definitely falls into that category of celebrities who defined the 1980s.

RIP

An 80's legend - no doubt! Some of the up-close magic he would do on his show was phenomenal, he also had some astounding guests on his show in its prime. A sad loss to the world.

Still never understand how he bagged Debbie M'gee... now that was Magic!

Really sad news, it's great to see people remembering him as a great magician/entertainer though.

Lets hope it stays that way

Yeah :/ I think given the things we've come to know about in the last couple of years most people assume there will be some ghastly revelations every time a male celebrity from the 70's/80's & linked to the BBC passes away. I really hope nothing else comes to light!

That would be awful if it did.

Hopefully not. Can't imagine Debbie magee would have stuck with him if there was any chance.

But you just don't know these days sadly!

What first attracted you to the millionaire widower Debbie McGee?

Too soon?

:p

I was just thinking the same thing. She was (and probably still is) fit!
