Hi Guys,

Thanks for all your comments on the other thread regarding my asking price for the VC Jawa, much appreciated, and the reason I put it on RS was that I've had quite a lot of PM's from their members and thought that I would see what happens.

Like a few of you have said, my price has been based on a few initial offers that I have received and also advice taken from some top collectors in the UK. I agree with the comments that it will find it's level, truth be told I came very close to selling it the other night.

The price does seem high but as the figure is totally unique and as mentioned the Premier Palitoy piece I think it is justified, and thanks for all your supportive comments on this as when pushed by the administrators on RS it was hard to price. Will I get this for the figure, who knows but Palitoy is very collectible with this figure being the 'one of a kind' Palitoy example.

With regard to me selling the figure, if nothing happens then I will simply hold onto the little fella, but members on this forum and collectors I know who are in contact with big collectors will spread the word that the figure is available, and hopefully the figure will eventually go to a good home and be the icing on the cake for someone's collection. Even without the VC Jawa I would still consider myself having a complete set of graded 12 and 20's, as the figure is simply a one off.

As ever I appreciate any feedback given and have even considered putting the figure on Ebay which would be quite exciting, but for now will see how things go, if anyone knows of someone that could be interested then I would be happy to strike a deal.

Many thanks Rich

Hi Rich, unless you are a millionaire you'd be mad not to try and get £30k or more for that jawa. I can't think of many collectors who value plastic more than that kind of cash.

Good luck with it :D

I don't blame you at all mate - you have every right to sell it and ask what you want for it - just seen the for sale thread on RS - not sure what has been deleted but presume there were a few dodgy 'non-transactional' comments - you would think that people would want to celebrate the fact that something like this is up for sale rather than ridicule you and it - anyway good luck with the sale, if you get that sort of cash then it can make a great deal of difference to you life

All the best with it Richard, no matter what people think of the initial price it's all just down to who wants it most and what they're willing to pay. It makes me wonder if the other example that's out there will now get graded knowing the value.

Go on Brian, you know it makes sense :D

Better to price it too high than too low. It's gonna be a popular item and will get what it is worth in the end.
I personally would be surprised if it went over 20k but i'm surprised constantly in this hobby.
Hope you get as close to your asking price as possible tho. Good luck with it. 8)
(and let is know what happens!)

go for what price you feel mate, its a one of a kind piece, i dont think you will get 30k but there might be a millionaire who would shell out that like its a tenner.

you have to start high :)
