Palitoy Snaggletooth 20 Back AFA 80

Hi all,

Can you give me a few valuations on a Palitoy Snaggletooth 20 Back AFA 80, subgrades are Bubble - 85, Figure 85 and Card 80, I have other figures with these sub grades that have achieved an overall 85 grade, does anyone know why?

Well valuations are subjective as you know, I valued a Palitoy item on eBay this week at £300 and it fetched £500

Depends on who is buying what, but if I was after this I'd pay around the £500 mark

Snaggletooth was deemed as one of the easier 20 backs to obtain but now it has to be respected as one that dosen't surface very often at all! Not as popular as a Greedo or Power Droid or a couple of the others fair enough.

One surfaced on the bay a little while ago and was snapped up at bout £600 I believe. But apart from that I haven't seen any for sale for a long time!

Cheers for that, like you say I haven't seen one for some time on ebay, they seem to be quite rare nowadays, I thought it would be in that sort of price range.

Technically speaking, the figure is no rarer now than it was 10 years ago. In fact it's probably less rare as so many more have surfaced in that time.

Palitoy is currently going through another popularity phase so prices are going up as more people are buying. This could also account for why fewer are showing on the open market.

It think it's still one of the more common 20 backs but the prices already given are fair for the current circumstances.

The concept of 'rare' is an interesting one though. It gets used a lot in this hobby. People's understanding of it would make for an interesting thread, if someone wanted to start one.
