Palitoy re-badging Kenner packaging.

I have a memory of buying a boxed ESB toy in the early 80s with the usual Palitoy logos I was used too. When I got it home I realised the Pali symbols were stickers so, like those Akbar offer stickers and the like that came later, I had to get the stickers off to see what was beneath. Instead of having the meaning of life -as hoped - it had Kenner logos!

It may have been a Twin Pod Cloud Car but I can't be 100% sure of that.

I've never seen any of these turn up as a collector. Anyone else come across anything like it at the time or in adulthood?

The only 2 i know of for sure are the Tie Fighter and solid belly Taun Taun.
If there others out there, great but cant say i've even heard of 'em.

I'm sure this was discussed in another thread, it may have been mini rigs or a Sy Snootles set someone was talking about having Palitoy stickers over Kenner logos? Cant remember. Jason may know something about this.

There's a black and white sticker Palitoy on some 12" figures

I had heard rumours of there being a Droids A wing with a sticker on it.

Not quite the same but both Ewok Gliders I've owned had subtler Palitoy stickers on the side, albeit without their old logo.

I have the solid belly Taun Taun with the stickers over the top.

I have the tie fighter with the Palitoy sticker over the Kenner logo but Kenner logo still exposed on the side flaps and a b-wing with the less glamorous Palitoy sticker.

It's odd that Palitoy started badging things again after a break away circa 1984. Does anyone know why there were no 77 backs with a whiff of Palitoy on them?
