This is one of my wins from the last Vectis auction. Described as "complete" it's anything but. Apparently, the vendor was asked if it was complete, said it was and their word was taken at face value.

Anyway, needless to say, it's going back. I tried to unsuccessfully negotiate a partial (substantial but nevertheless partial) refund with Vectis and they weren't interested. Crying shame as I love the sticker on the box! Anyway, before sending it back, I thought I'd offer it here for the price I paid. This would save Vectis the cost and hassle and means it ends up here rather than back there. It cost a not insubstantial £161.20 (including fees). Personally, I value it at around £80 given the quantity of parts missing, but if someone was mad keen to acquire it then here it is. Please don't even ask if I'm moveable on the price: if someone doesn't want it here then I get the £161.20 back from Vectis instead, so it's a bit of a no brainer. Of course, doesn't mean I'm not open to trade offerings of nice Palitoy or Trilogo bits.

I honestly don't expect this to sell. I wouldn't buy it for this amount (obvs) but maybe someone else values it differently. Anyway, it's here for 48hrs and then I will post it back to Vectis.

It does come with a nice set of blueprints, but otherwise, if it isn't pictured, it isn't included.

Ridiculous that they wont take it back for a full refund (including shipping) as it's clearly missing most of the pieces....it wouldnt even be so bad if there was a complete 3-legged R2 in there.

As the 'supposed' place to go to buy/sell vintage Star Wars it's pretty poor customer service.

No, they are Rob. Full refund and my postage returned (I expect, anyway!). There was no hassle in terms of that discussion at all and they responded quickly so I can't fault them there. Just thought I'd offer it here in case this sticker was a must have for someone.

I'll probably end up bidding on it at the next Vectis as, when properly described, it'll go for a heck of a lot less!

You'd think all the big gaps where there is obviously stuff missing might be the first clue that this isn't complete! Pretty poor show...
I'm planning on going to the next one, so if you want me to check anything out before you bid will pm you photos.

Thank you, very kind of you :) The photo of this was with all the bits in a bag, so you couldn't really tell if anything was missing. Yes, I should have checked but I relied on the description. I go by description over photos in terms of completeness. Not for condition, but definitely for completeness.

Yeah I would assume the same. 'Complete' isnt exactly an ambiguous term, unless its ebay, where it now seems to be an abbreviation of 'complete... with repro accessories'

I guess vectis have such a huge volume of items going through their books they expect the seller to be accurate with their description since the item will most likely be returned if it isn't, and a pain in the ass all around.

Yes, it is a disgrace.
If you love the sticker box it might be worth considering buying a cheap Kenner Droid factory and filling the gaps that way ?
May be a further $100 or so.

That sticker is the bollocks! 8)

If it were in better nick I'd have had it. Trying to save for Celebration - which is proving impossible...must stop looking on ebay...
