I'd like to part with my Dengar on a 45A Palitoy card and need some help estimating its rough market value. I've already done a bit of research. In 2018, one in worse condition with some ink touch up sold for £1,400 in the Palitoy group, and in 2023, one in good condition went for £2,750. There's currently one in terrible condition being auctioned at Vectis — I'm curious to see how much that one will fetch. In this forum, one went for £1,400 in 2018. Most of these sales are quite a while ago, and the market is constantly changing. Any help would be appreciated.

The MOC itself is in really nice condition. The blister shows some slight yellowing but is firmly attached to the card and has no dents or cracks. The card is unpunched, lies nearly flat and has no notable creases or stresslines. Wonderful example and I have never seen one in such condition before

Lovely! Very difficult to value, as they rarely come up and the market has generally dropped, but items like this have probably increased. Sorry I can't help.

No worries, thanks for your message. Already asked a few people and posted it on Facebook and it looks like around £2k could be reachable. However, one thing is the valuation, the other to find someone who is willing to pay such amount

I'm inclined to agree with Mark Daniels on the Facebook Palitoy group - as I have just posted on there! . It's quite a rare figure and not enough have sold recently to gauge current values. That one is about to come up for auction is a fortunate coincidence as it will give you a very good idea if there's enough of a demand and at what financial level that demand will be.

Another option would be a type of "deal or no deal" Facebook sale.
At least that way you wouldn't have to sell if the offers weren't right.
