The 45b has a photograph repair on the entire bubble area that you should be able to make out.

I was well pleased with the 65d being in such good nick given it's the first of it's kind.

Do you think 65ds are really that rare. I'm sure I've said this to you before but the Palitoy website shoes the Han Hoth 65d as being rare (no carded examples known) and yet they are always on ebay.

I know that doesn't mean that yodas are common, just wondered whether the site was due an update :?:

The Han Hoth 65d is shown as "Example reported or believed to exist, but not verified" on the palitoy cardback guide, the Yoda 65d is shown as "Example not yet noted, existence unknown".

I didn't have much trouble finding a Han Solo Hoth 65d which would suggest it's more common than the Yoda 65d.

I listed a set of additions on the IOP forum for John to add to the palitoy cardback guide if he wanted to update it.

Been a while since my last addition.

The latest complete run is Rebel Commander with a 30b, 41a, 45a, 45b, 45c, 70b & 70c. Possible existence of a 41b, 41c and 65d.

Total unique palitoy cardback variations collected: 380
Total palitoy cardback variations known to exist still to collect: 52

Been a few more sightings since my last update which has made the number of known variations go up a bit. Some of you will have seen Darren Simpson's 30b Chewbacca reseal at Celebration Europe. Dave Tree has also confirmerd the existence of a 30b Jawa and Princess Leia. This leaves Luke Skwalker, R2-D2 and Sandpeople as the only 12 backs without a reported sighting on a 30b cardback. This makes me believe all 12 of them existed as 30b. No reports of a 30a for any of these which makes me think it should be ruled out as being a possible variation on the palitoy cardback matrix. Thoughts anyone?

The fronts of a palitoy 45b and GMI German 45 back are identical. Some of the German cards had a palitoy sticker applied on the lower half on the back of the card covering up the german writing so they looked like a palitoy 45b on the back too. They did this when they ran out of or didn't make a palitoy version of the card.

Yes, the Yoda 45b has a photograph repair, the bubble is area is completely missing. Good spot!

An update on R2D2 sensorscope which adds a previously unseen 65d.

This run is R2D2 sensorscope with a 45a, 45b, 45c, 65d & 70b. Possible existence of 70c.

Total unique palitoy cardback variations collected: 381
Total palitoy cardback variations known to exist still to collect: 58

p.s. I've also started work on an updated palitoy cardback matrix on the web with the new cardback variations I've found and updates to the matrix. I hope to have it finished in a week or two.

My first complete run of a 12 back character including the difficult to find 30b. Ben Kenobi with a 12a, 12b, 30b, 41b, 45a, 45b, 45c, 65d, 70b and 70c. Other variations that possibly exist are 41a, 41c.

Only 2 figures to date have been found on both a 41a and 41b/41c which are Luke X-wing and 2-1b. The other ones are either 41a or 41b/41c.
