How rare is an unused (decals not applied and still on sheet) example of the cantina playset by Palitoy? Do they even exist?

I've never seen one emiel & i would imagine that they're really rare.

If one was to turn up,it would probably be on RS as opposed to ebay.

Someone told me he had seen one for sale once for £695. :shock:

Yeah I've succumbed to the playset virus. :roll: I guess most aren't that big so I have some room for them.

They exist. There is only a Palitoy Cantina compared with the 2 Kenner released being the Sears Cantina Adventure Set and the Creature Cantina. I think the Palitoy example is based on the Creature Cantina even tho its just called the Cantina playset. I think they cost a small fortune. There is any early release of the Palitoy Cantina which contains 4 carded Palitoy creatures. Hammerhead, Walrusman, Snaggletooth and the Greedo. I may be wrong on it being an earlier release that contained the carded figures but they do exist.

Bumping this thread from 2009, as I have finally acquired one of these from the help of a friend on here. It is missing a few things. I have few questions as well.
1. Are the silver things I see holding the doors in place steel clips or some type of sticker?
2. It appears the bar top is only supported by a piece of cardbord with the bar tolls printed on the face similar to the backdrop...is this true?
3. Lastly if anyone know where I can get the doors, bar insert and the bar table that seems to be removable on the Palitoy version let me know.

BTW, I have been looking for one of these cheap for several years and I have wood. :wink:

there was a recent ebay auction with 2 figures 'dancing' on the double platform thing with the 2 stick things, bottom middle of the pic. I had no idea it was a vintage piece

If my Memory serves me correctly was Andrew Davies selling one of these with the palitoy carded figures bot long ago. Maybe 6-8 months ago. I'm pretty sure it sold on ebay.

Besides the one request for me buy a complete one and sell the one I just bought....can anybody answer my three questions? Do any of you or have you owned it. I want scans of the bar insert (If that is what it is) and the doors. This would be until and if I locate the parts I need.

Bought for under a fiver. Loose only Missing doors, the under part of the bar (That I am asking about), figure levers and bar table....everything else is there.

I am going to cut the bar table portion off a Kenner one and use it as they look the same size.

Todd I've got an incomplete one of these for the kids but ive seen ones with the hinges and yes they are silver stickers, presumably the ones on the used sticker sheet.
